All-Inclusive, Compassionate Care

Your Dog’s Safety and Comfort Before All Else

I do not view grooming as a “one-size-fits-all” process. Every dog is unique: from their prior salon experience, coat type, temperament, and physical capabilities. I tailor products, techniques, and everything else to the dog in front of me. The work space is calm and quiet for your dog’s comfort and so that they may have a positive experience while with me. Their safety and comfort come before all else. That’s all there is to it!

The Full Service Groom

  • Nail Trim/File Trimming their nails as short as I can, and rounding them with the file to prevent injury.
  • Ear Cleaning – Ears are cleaned and cleared from and dirt and debris and are checked for any possible irritation or infection.
  • Dental CareUsing a dental wipe, I wipe off any gunk and plaque off their teeth and freshen up with a dental foam.
  • Shampooing Their coat is cleansed with gentle, professional products that are tailored for their skin and coat needs. Shampooing is done twice to ensure their skin and coat are throughly clean.
  • Deep ConditioningCustomized conditioning treatment designed to restore moisture to their skin and coat. This process not only nourishes the fur but also ensures the coat remains manageable between grooming sessions.
  • Blowdry + Fluffing/Brushing After the bath they are blowdried and either fluffed to prepare for the haircut or brushed out to remove any tangles or undercoat. (Techniques vary on their coat type.)
  • Full Haircut and/or DeshedDepending on your dog’s breed, they will have any undercoat and loose hair removed as well as any requested trimming. Please be advised that I do NOT shave short-haired breeds unless under direct medical advisement.

Pricing

Price depends on the amount of time taken to complete service. I do not do size or breed pricing. With me, you are not paying merely for a bath and brush, you are paying for a particular skillset and a positive experience for your dog.

The amount of time that it takes to complete a service depends on many variables. Please refer to the list for examples.

To ensure that your pricing is low, please maintain your dog well at home by brushing and combing and bringing them in to be groomed professionally on a regular basis.

Time Variables

  • Coat type (straight, curly, flat, double coat, etc)
  • Condition of the coat (well-maintained, matted, knots and tangles, impacted, etc)
  • Length of hair (longer or overgrown hair takes more time)
  • Complexity of haircut (clipper vs hand scissor, patterned trims, etc)
  • Behavior (cooperative, nervous, aggressive, fussy, fidgety, do they need breaks?)
  • Physical Capabilities/Age (can they stand, can they lift their legs, etc.)

Estimates

Note that the price estimates below are wide averages to give you a rough idea of my service costs. I only work with dogs under 25lbs.

To get a smaller ballpark, please contact me.

FULL SERVICE GROOM

$85-125

Most small dogs on a 4-6 week schedule in a pet trim usually fit into this price range.

Dogs in more elaborate haircuts, dogs not on a regular schedule, or dogs working on a behavior modification program could be outside of this range for a full service.

BATH & TIDY

$65-100

An in-between option for haircut dogs to get a full bath, blow out, comb through, nails/ears/teeth, and minor tidying of the face and sanitary areas in lieu of a full haircut.

Recommended for dogs in contest trims or other fuller styles to reduce matting and maintain a longer coat.

MINI SESSIONS

$50-100

These sessions generally run 20-30 minutes and are for dogs who are new to cooperative care, including both puppies and adult dogs. The goal of these sessions is to introduce grooming procedures in shorter appointments to reduce stress. These typically need to happen weekly or biweekly for a period of time to prepare your dog for a full grooming service.  For some senior dogs, we may need to split a full service into smaller parts to accommodate their physical needs. The price varies on services performed, including any training.

Note that NY Sales Tax of 8.375% will be included in every sale.
